COVID-19

UPDATE

June 25, 2020

It is relevant to mention that the state of Florida at some point has attempted to tamper with the data.

This is completely unacceptable and it renders any analysis of Rₜ invalid.

This is the article with the details.

Coronavirus: Florida scientist was fired for refusing to 'manipulate' COVID-19 data

I have continued nonetheless to keep running the data mainly due to the recent uptick in cases in the state of Florida.

COVID-19

I have created two Jupyter notebooks.

  1. Descriptive statistics of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic

I have included statistics from the metropolitan area of Miami (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) as well as top counties in the United States, top countries around the world, Colombia, and Venezuela.

Additionally, I have created graphs to illustrate the exponential growth of both the cases of COVID-19 as well as Initial Unemployment Cases.

  2. Florida R₀ Analysis per County

An analysis of Florida per county level to make predictions on the possibility of new cases, the implementation is using Kevin Systrom’s model, and using the adaptation by Ashutosh Sanzgiri per county to analyze the situation for Florida and its counties.

Requirements

I created this with the lastest version of Anaconda.
